How many bridesmaids and groomsmen are too many

On May 6, 2013

It seems as though many couples are stepping away from large, over-the-top weddings and getting back to more intimate gatherings of close friends and family.  However, they can’t let go of wanting large, over-the-top bridal parties.  How many bridesmaids and groomsmen are too many?  Let’s discuss…

For every 25 guests in attendance, you should have no more than one (1) pair of attendants.  For example, if you have 40 guests, then you should only have a Maid/Matron of Honor and a Best Man.  If you have 100 guests, then you should have no more than four (4) pairs of attendants.  And so on…

I’ve been seeing far too many photos of couples with 100 guests and 12+ people in their Bridal Party.  I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s ridiculous and looks quite silly.  You’ll thank me for it later;)
